Spring Fayre

On the 16th April, Bee Rewarded workers will be part of the Spring Fayre held at Dee Point Centre, Blacon Point Road in Chester. [CH1 5NF]

Dee Point Centre is the home of Sustainable Blacon, a third sector company who encourage local people to save energy, reduce waste, recycle and build a more sustainable urban community.

Alongside stalls which will promote local produce and craft work, volunteers will be hosting egg hunts, picnics and various competitions for the youngsters who attend.

Sustainable Blacon have invited Bee Rewarded to launch their own community competition, taking the keys collected from our Keys 4 Bees campaign and challenging local children to build an animal from the keys and other materials on offer.

The best sculpture will receive a top prize of 2 day tickets to Chester Zoo!
Runners up will get little consolation prize!

After the competition is won and the Fayre has finished, all the keys collected through the day and through the campaign will be recycled and the money put toward supporting a bee hives in Ellesmere Port.
If you would like any further information on what Sustainable Blacon has to offer, you can check out their website: Sustainable Blacon
We will update you with our progress and pictures of the best sculptures on offer that day!
If you would like to build your own ‘Key Bee’ from scrap keys and metals lying about your office or home, please feel free to email pictures to us.  The best ones will be posted on our website!
Please send us all the spare keys and any old nuts, bolts, nails, washers or screws you have handing around.  Every little will go toward rebuilding Britain’s bee population.  Every little helps.
